动物的育幼行为
动物的育幼行为是其繁殖行为的一部分。多数动物的育幼任务是由母亲承担的。哺乳动物、一部分鸟类和爬行类通常由母方照看幼体动物。有人认为，由于这些体内受精的动物可以多次交配，雄性动物难于确定幼体是否是自己的后代而疏于育幼。
有些食肉的雄性哺乳动物（如虎、豹等）在母兽产仔后，给母兽和幼仔送猎物，一些“一夫一妻制”的鸟类（如鹤、燕等）则由父母双方共同育雏。
只有少数动物由父亲照看后代。如，雄海马的育儿袋孵化小海马；王企鹅由雄鸟负责孵卵；雄三棘鱼保护受精卵。
动物的育幼行为是先天的，与动物的发育阶段和激素的分泌密切相关。
动物的攻击行为
攻击行为攻击行为是指同种个体之间所发生的攻击或战斗。在动物界中，同种动物个体之间常常由于争夺食物、配偶，抢占巢区、领域而发生相互攻击或战斗。
绝大多数鸟类从遥远的南方返回繁殖地后，就积极地寻求异性来繁殖后代。雄鸟飞临巢区，便立刻占据一块安全、舒适、食物充足的领域来“割地称雄”，绝不许其他鸟类，尤其是同种的雄鸟再进入这块地盘。于是它站在大树尖上高声歌唱，并且冲天而起，在自己地盘上空兜着圈子飞一阵，再落到领域内，这是告诫其他鸟类“这块地盘是我的”。这样的炫耀式飞行还有招引雌鸟的特殊意义。
鸟类在繁殖期间这种抢占地盘的现象称为“占区”，它所占的地盘称为“领域”。这个领域是在巢区内有一定范围的作为该动物特别加以保护和防范的区域，绝不允许其他个体（主要是同性个体）侵入，时常要用威吓或战斗来捍卫小区。
蚂蚁复杂的社会行为
①蚂蚁的“牧业”活动。
蚂蚁保护蚜虫。它们用触角拍打蚜虫的尾部，使蚜虫放出汁液，供蚂蚁吸吮。有些蚂蚁居然会将蚜虫“驱赶”到植物的枝叶上，使蚜虫得到食物，从而能有充足的汁液供蚂蚁吸吮。这简直是蚂蚁在“放牧”。
②蚂蚁的“农业”活动。
有些蚂蚁将树叶、动物的粪便等搬运到窝里，将其嚼碎铺平，使真菌在上面生长。蚂蚁以这些真菌为食，像蚂蚁在进行“农业”活动。
③蚂蚁的“蓄奴”活动。
