 As we all know that Confucianism has the strong influences on Chinese society from around 100BC till today. Chinese people tend to be conservative. Nowadays, with the rapid development of modernization and globalization, and with the deepened refrom and openness, Chinese people tend to be open. What is the meaning of open? Open means to be glad to know and receive the new matters; open means changing.

   There are three points reflecting the tendency of growing open.

   First of all, patterns of courtship and marriage have changed radically. Where sex was concerned, most of us were raised in an atomsphere of suspicion, repression , but now we can use the normal attitude to the matter. In the past, if a women was pregnant before marriage, she must be suffered a lot by others. Today, the whole society is becoming more open about such things and the free patterns are forming.

Scond, women’s position is improving. Girls get the right to receive the education instead that innocence is the virtue for women. Women are supported more jobs and given the right to express themselves. Although tthe right is still weak and easy to be deprive, we should believe today will be better.

Third, the definition of success is  becoming multiple. When we were young, someone asked you “what kind of people do want to be?” Most of us answered “ I want to be a scientist.” Right, in the past, being a scientist is the greatest proud success; but now it’s changed. The definition of success is becoming wider. If you do well in a specific job, no matter you are a scientist or a cleaner, you are a successful person. If you have done what you dreamed, for yourself, you are successful.

One of the changes that we have to mention is that With the rapid development of economy, the deep gap between the rich and the poor is more serious causing the unstablity in the society.

Anyway,we should believe the outlook of China is bright.
