A power plant can operate more safely and stably by avoiding potential separation between concrete slab and cushion layer, and by removing potential safety hazard during operation. This paper maily analyzes the reasons that may cause separation between concrete slab and cushion layer, and discusses methods of thermal infrared, ground probing radar, and working principle of acoustic reflection, which are commonly used for void detection of concrete slab qualiy, as well as points for attention for field detection. In the paper, the author also reflects on some of testing methods for testing separation between concrete slab and cushion layer.
