At the center of The Butterfly Effect 3 – Revelation is Sam (Chris Carmack).Sam uses his time travel powers to help police solve difficult crimes.By traveling back to the moment the crime takes place Sam can observe the event and return to the present with the evidence the police need to make an arrest.Being a police psychic is quite lucrative and enables Sam to make a living for him and his slightly mental sister,Jenna (Rachel Miner).
The Butterfly Effect 3 – Revelation is more a cautionary tale for eager timetravelers rather than a scary movie.The goriest scenes involve the Pontiac Killer ripping into his victims with a compact chainsaw.I did experience some slight tension whenever Sam jumped.I was kind of on the edge of my seat waiting to see if he would I.D.the killer and if he failed then I was anxious to see how reality was updated.Where would Sam land?Who would still be alive?Who would be dead?And would anyone even remember who Sam was?Kind of spinetingly.
