1）loss是名词,而总所周知的是,定冠词the修饰的一般都是名词.
当然也有"the + 过去分词/形容词"表示一类的人/事物,如：the poor/rich/blind/injured/disabled,意思是“穷人/富人/瞎子/伤员/残疾人”等.
但是它们一般都单独使用,表复数的概念.
