Through an intrauterine catheter about 20 cc of saline is infused into the cavity' The cavity does,appear somewhat enlargedbut still regular.There's,evidence of a posterior intramural fibroid which measures just under 4 cm.It does push slightly onto the endometrial cavify but is not a true submucous fibroid.Within the fibroid two cystic areas are seen with minimal blood flow consistent with degenerative changes.
Impression:

This sonohysterogram was done for assessment of a possible submucous fibroid.Today's study shows the fibroid to be mainly intrarrrural with degenerative changes.
FELVIC ULTRASOUND (with transsaginal study)
The uterus is retroverted,and there is a 4.2 cm in diameter submucosal fibroid with central necrosis and increased blood flow.
The endometrium is l2.9mm in thickcness
There is a 15 mm in diameter cyst in the right ovary.
The left ovary is normal.
