首先你要明白SC考的是什么.
我们都知道SC其实就是改错题.那么改错题的话就可以分为两种.一种是我们高考英语和SAT的改错题,错误明显,很简单,很多都是词性错误之类的低级语法错误；另一种是gmat的改错题,通常为语意或者逻辑意思有误,甚至是要达到吹毛求疵的简洁等等.
明白了这个道理之后,你在做gmat改错题的“原则”应该只有一个,则【在语意即逻辑正确的前提下选择更为简洁的句子】作为正确答案.永远要记住,题目做对即可,不要去研究某个选项为什么对,某个选项为什么错.因为在上述前提之下,【正确选项可能只是比另外四个选项更好罢了】.在gmat考试中,切忌追求完美!
下面简单讲一下你问的题目,水平有限,且当是切磋一下吧.
第一题：
ABC选项类似,DE选项类似,所以分开看.二者最大区别是句首的is和are,于是比较此处.发现none one所以用is,排除DE；ABC中,A的that指代有问题,排除；B中if the deal was错误,此处表示与事实不同的推测必须用were.建议去听听Beyonce的if i were a boy（她不可能变成男的,所以必须用if i were a boy）.这是高中语法知识.
另外美剧电影中可常见if i were you之类的表达方式.
第二题：
关于情态动词的添加可以看英吉或者黄大仙的帖子,他们讨论过,这里就不说了.“情态动词通常不能改”这也是一个归纳性的错误.现实考试中的确也出现了删除情态动词的正确选项.
这里只说一点,前面的having和这个情态动词can一旦去掉,你认为句意发生变化了吗?如果句意变了,A和C到底哪个更通顺更符合逻辑更能让人明白.要注意的一点是,通常大家认为“having必错”,这存在且只存在于当句子用了having和没用是一样的,甚至是错误的.
第三题：
平行结构的意义是“语意上的平行”,就是说前后平行的对象必须一致.退一步而言,即使此处的平行你没读出来,当你看到that从句时也应该想一想C选项中may be as simple as when certain medications cause a reaction到底修饰的是什么.根据句意可以清楚的发现maybe simply a reaction to certain medications是修饰Most insomnia的.因此E为正确选项.

= =首先你把which前面的句子翻译过来看看,应该是“Emily给Susan的信”吧.宾语后的which不能指代主语（指动词宾语,which不能跳跃谓语动词）.所以这里用which是可以的.
其实我这里先要说一点,就是从语法上讲,A选项并没有错.但是gmat考的是逻辑意思.A选项句子重心为“信的时间段”,E选项句子重心为“信（的数量）”.而这里作者想要强调的的的确确是“信的数量比她给任何一个人在这段时间里写的信都要多”.所以E比A要好.
大概就是这样了.总的来说,只有一句话：逻辑意思是秒杀一切SC题目的法宝.
