Nothing special. But their accent is really different, probably influenced by indians and malaysians. But relax, the Sinaporean I met are all very friendly and warm-hearted and easy to communicate with. And nearly everybody can speak chinese if he/she is no inherent of malaysian or vietnamnese. Communication will not be a problem.
i'm sorry, but i've never seen any singaporean in my life.
however, all kinds of comunication should start from the heart.
show ur warm hospitality, be kind, be polite. that's what all hosts should do to guests no matter they are from singapore or hongkong or, even from other planet.
it's ok to communicate with them in chinese . in their singlish(they call their own english singlish) ,you can hear alot of chinese word such like la ,lo, and a. this shows they are quite close to chinese .
